ATP Monitoring System
ATP hygiene monitoring systems measure adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the universal energy molecule found in all animal, plant, bacteria, yeast and mould cells. Residues, particularly food or organic residue, contain large amounts of ATP. When left on a surface, residues can harbour and grow bacteria, cause cross-contamination, develop biofilm and many other problems that can compromise quality and safety.
Snapshot™ universal ATP surface swabs are designed to be compatible with luminometers of most manufacturers. Each version of Snapshot is designed to replicate the ATP reaction by generating the same light output as the device it is replacing; therefore eliminating the need to change current pass/fail threshold settings on the luminometer or within an established Quality Control program.
Snapshot devices cost up to 50% less than the devices intended for the luminometer. In addition, Snapshot uses Hygiena’s unique liquid-stable reagent giving it more accurate and consistent results over other ATP sample collection devices.

Hygiene MicroSnap™ Coliform swabs detect
- E. coli (E. coli detection kit required)
- Klebsiella
- Citrobacter
- Enterobacter
The MicroSnap™ Coliform swabs by Hygiene are a rapid test for detection of Coliform bacteria, no other lab equipment required except for an incubator capable of 37°C and a Luminometer.
This Hygiena Coliform test uses a novel bioluminogenic test reaction that generates light when enzymes that are characteristic of Coliform bacteria react with specialised substrates to produce light.
The light generating signal is then quantified in the EnSURE & EnSURE Touch to give a result.
This product is the first step of a 2 step process which is a enrichment step.
Hygiena MicroSnap Coliform is able to give results in the same day, depending on the level of detection required.
